Daikin to galvanise Sri Lanka HVAC market

  • To put up new manufacturing of ACs and components plant in Andhra Pradesh classifying Daikin as the largest exporter of HVAC equipment from India

 

Daikin Air-conditioning India Ltd., a 100% subsidiary of Daikin Industries Ltd., Japan, the world leader, in partnership with K S Trading conducted a sub dealer meet for room air-conditioners involving more than 100 channel partners and participants. 

Daikin has been successfully growing and serving the Sri Lankan market with a set of eight FTA-approved RA models in the inverter and non-inverter category. In the commercial air-conditioning space, Daikin has been able to create a strong brand footing with its technologically superior Sky Air, ducted, VRV, Chiller and Airside products. All Daikin products boast of future ready technologies that empower the customers to manage the quality of air conditioning across their premises.

Daikin India recently signed the land purchase deal at Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, for manufacturing of ACs and components as part of the recently announced PLI scheme by the Government of India in the AC manufacturing space, entailing an investment of INR 10 billion during the first phase. This new facility will augment the capacity from the current 1.2 mn RA units to 2.5 mn units, classifying Daikin as the largest exporter of HVAC equipment from India. Coupled with this Daikin will embark upon an aggressive advertising campaign involving to take the brand closer to the consumers.
