Dammika Jayawardane joins Idea Group

Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) former Additional Director General Dammika Jayawardane joined Idea Group Limited after a 36-year stint at the EDB. The Idea Group Limited specialises in industrial and household products and building materials, and caters both to the local and export markets.  

Jayawardane studied at Richmond College, Galle and graduated from the University of Kelaniya in B com (Special) with 2nd class honours. Thereafter he completed his Master’s Degree in Business Management at the University of Colombo. He has a wealth of experience in project financing, project formulation, product and market development, SME development and regional development.
