Dinesh Weerakkody

Top professional Dinesh Weerakkody has been appointed to the Board of Ceylon Hotels Corporation PLC as an Independent Non-Executive Director.

Weerakkody is the former Chairman of Hatton National Bank PLC and Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC, and a former Director of DFCC Bank. He has also held key leadership roles in the public sector. Currently, he serves as the Chairman of Union Bank of Colombo, the Employers Federation of Ceylon, and is the immediate Past Chairman of the International Chamber of Commerce Sri Lanka. Additionally, he is the Senior Vice Chairman of the Sri Lanka Institute of Directors and a Director of several leading companies. Ceylon Hotels Corporation holds a unique collection of properties located in historic and popular tourist destinations around Sri Lanka.
