Dr. Cornelius Boersch calls on BOI

Dr. Cornelius Boersch called on BOI Chairman Sanjaya Mohottala as part of his visit itinerary in Sri Lanka. Boersch is a German serial entrepreneur and was adjudged European Business Angel of the year 2009, investing in young companies, primarily in the internet sector, which have included start-ups such as Alando, the forerunner of eBay Germany, and the Scout-Group. 

As a venture capital manager who has helped build technology firms like Smartrac, which went public in 2006, and Identiv, an RFID group listed on NASDAQ since 2010, he has also assisted over 200 companies internationally in a similar manner. 

His visit to Sri Lanka was facilitated by the Board of Investment and organised by Lion Ventures.
