Dr. Ranasoma quits Hayleys

Dr. K. I. Mahesh Ranasoma resigned from the post of Executive Director at Hayleys PLC yesterday.

He joined the Hayleys Group subsidiary Dipped Products PLC as an Executive Director in August 2010 and took over as the Managing Director in April 2011. He was appointed to Hayleys PLC Board in April 2011 with overall responsibility for the Hand Protection sector.

He has also resigned from the posts of Director at Kelani Valley Plantations PLC, Talawakelle

Tea Estates PLC, Mabroc Tea and Hayleys Global Beverages Ltd.

Dr. Ranasoma was the former Country Chairman/Managing Director of Shell Gas Lanka Ltd. and Shell Terminal Lanka Ltd. He holds a first-class honours degree in Engineering from the University of Peradeniya, a Doctorate from Cambridge University, UK, and a MBA with Distinction from Wales University, UK.
