Edirisinghe, Madanayake appointed to CT Land Board

CT Land Development PLC has announced the appointment of Priyan Edirisinghe and Suren Madanayake as Non-Independent, Non-Executive Directors with effect from 1 October. 

Edirisinghe is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years’ experience in the private sector and in the professional practice. He has served for over 18 years at Baker Tilly Edirisinghe and Co., Chartered Accountants, and presently a Senior Partner. He is an Independent, Non-Executive Director of Dialog Finance PLC. He is also a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (FCA), and Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing UK (ACIM). He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Southern Queensland – Australia.

Madanayake is a qualified Mechanical Engineer from the University of Texas at Austin – USA. He was appointed to the Board of ACL Cables PLC in June 1991 and appointed as Managing Director in September 2005. When Kelani Cables PLC was acquired in October 1999, he was appointed as Managing Director of Kelani Cables PLC and Lanka Olex Cables Ltd., which is the holding Company of Kelani Cables PLC. In 2003, he was appointed as Deputy Chairman of Kelani Cables PLC. 

He also serves as the Chairman of Resus Energy PLC, Managing Director of ACL Plastics PLC and holds Director positions in several ACL group companies, as well as Fab Foods Ltd., Ceylon Tapioca Ltd., Destination Ceylon Ltd., Ethimale Plantation Ltd., Marshal Investments Ltd. and National Asset Management Ltd. 

He also serves as Trustee of CCC Foundation of Sri Lanka, which is an approved charity. 

With the latest appointments, the Board of CT Land Development will comprise of Chairman R. Selvaskandan, Deputy Chairman J.C. Page, L.R. Page, A.T.P. Edirisinghe, V.R. Page, T. Senthilverl, S.C. Niles, P. Edirisinghe and S. Madanayake.
