The second awards ceremony of the Freda Corea Awards (FCA) competition initiated by the Gamani Corea Foundation will be held tomorrow, 4 April, at 2 p.m. at the Jasmine Hall, BMICH.
The theme of the program is ‘Women’s Empowerment.’
The program was conceptualised as a competition for writers. It aims to identify and reward inspirational women who have defeated poverty and uplifted their family status through their own creativity, determination and commitment. By identifying and publicising their success stories we hope to inspire other like-minded women to follow suit.
18 inspirational women and their story writers will receive awards at the awards ceremony this Friday.
