Galle District Chamber of Commerce felicitates LAUGFS Holdings Chairman Wegapitiya

LAUGFS Holdings Founder and Executive Chairman H.K. Wegapitiya who attended as the Chief Guest at the recently concluded awards ceremony of Galle District Chamber of Commerce was felicitated by officials of the Chamber held at Light House Hotel in Galle. According to the officials of the Chamber this felicitation was for the tremendous performance of LAUGFS Holdings which has become a landmark company both locally as well as internationally. 

Established in 1995 LAUGFS Holdings Ltd. is a diversified conglomerate from Sri Lanka and has since expanded overseas. LAUGFS Holdings is mainly engaged in energy, retail, industrial and manufacturing, hospitality, real estate, logistics, pharmaceuticals and several other sectors. At his thundering speech he recalled the memories of the beginning of LAUGFS Holdings with many an obstacle. He advised the business community to take him as an example who rose to the helm after being born as a son of a poor farmer in a remote village of Balangoda. He appealed to the business community to think of diversifying their businesses internationally.
