Gestetner Ceylon appoints Hamza as Group CEO/Director

Gestetner Ceylon PLC has announced the appointment of Muhammed Hamza as the Group Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director from 2 September.

Hamza has a career spanning 30 years with Nestlé. During this period, he held several senior marketing, sales and general management positions across Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, and Indonesia.

He also functioned as the CEO/Director at Atlas Axillia Co. Ltd. from 2013 to 2018, the market leader in school and office stationery products in Sri Lanka.

During his five-year tenure at Atlas he was instrumental in transforming Atlas into a dynamic organisation.

From July 2018 to October 2019, Hamza served as Chairman of the Sri Lanka Handicrafts Board (LAKSALA).
