Global Sea Foods partners Oceanpick

A strategic partnership on frozen fish products was signed and sealed this week between Oceanpick Ltd., South Asia’s leading marine aquaculture outfit and Global Sea Foods Ltd., the leading seafood processor in Sri Lanka.

This partnership marks a new beginning for both progressive establishments and results in the range of frozen barramundi products now offered from the combined units. Oceanpick now becomes a highest BAP 4 star rated company as they have an exclusive manufacturing agreement with Global Sea Foods processing facility for frozen barramundi products.

Oceanpick is South Asia’s first-ever commercial-scale offshore finfish farm, rearing Barramundi in the pristine waters off the northeast coast of Trincomalee, offering perfect natural conditions for sustainable farming and a world-class barramundi. 

Oceanpick today is a project progressing rapidly towards a new dimension of a sustainable fishery, having placed Sri Lanka as a clear leader of marine aquaculture in the subcontinent.

Global Sea Foods Ltd. (GSF), is a BOI-approved company, processing value-added seafood to the world. The company is certified with several quality accreditations: ISO 22000, BRC “A” Grade, IFS “Highest level”, BAP, ISO 14001-2015, ISO 14064-1 (GHG verified) SA 8000, HACCP, SEDEX-Smeta, Friend of the Sea, Dolphin safe and Halal Certified.
