The Cabinet of Ministers at its meeting on Monday agreed on awarding the contracts to repair Honeywell Additional Power Units (APUs) of the SriLankan Airlines for two years, to Honeywell International SARL following competitive bids.
The Government said the move follows an international competitive bidding process, to which only three bids were received. Of the three bids, Honeywell International SARL, which submitted the lowest quotation for an estimated sum of $ 15.3 million for two years was accepted.
Accordingly, the proposal tabled by the Ports, Shipping and Aviation Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva to award the relevant contract for the Honeywell International SARL, as recommended by the Technical Evaluation Committee and the Standard Procurement Committee appointed by the Cabinet of Ministers, was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.
