Standing at the forefront of corporate governance in Sri Lanka, SLID brings together the largest community of Board room leaders through its membership. 

Launched earlier this year, the Young Directors Forum aims to build capacities in corporate governance skills, practices, as well as taking advantage of access to free mentorship services, while creating strong peer networks that add value in the course of discharging the roles and responsibilities as young directors. The event will give participants an opportunity to gain practical knowledge and insight from a veteran Board personality. 

Harsha Amarasekera is currently the Chairman of the CIC Holdings PLC, and several other  listed companies in the Colombo Stock Exchange, including Vallibel One PLC, Royal Ceramics PLC, Expo Lanka Holdings PLC, Chevron Lubricants Lanka PLC, Taprobane Holdings PLC, Amana Bank PLC, Amaya Leisure PLC and Vallibel Power Erathna PLC. 

The event will be a closed door forum, with opportunity for young professionals currently, or seeking to be, on corporate boards to learn from his vast experience and engage in a frank and open discussion about skills needed and expertise required for such roles.
