Demonstrating its commitment to upholding the highest standards of service, leading private healthcare provider Hemas Hospitals, recently celebrated ‘National Quality Week,’ instituted by the Sri Lanka Standards Institution.
Implemented under the theme ‘Steady Journey towards Total Quality Management,’ the hospital chain kicked off Quality Week on 11 October with the customary hoisting of the ‘Quality Flag’ at both its prime locations in Wattala and Thalawathugoda, in the presence of Hemas Hospitals Managing Director Dr. Lakith Peiris, members of the senior management and staff.
Thereafter, Hemas Hospitals carried out a series of impactful activities to ingrain a culture that constantly pursues quality within their healthcare practice. This included several educational sessions conducted for the hospital’s staff as well an engaging quiz competition. Celebrations fittingly concluded on 14 October, on World Standards Day 2021.
As the first Internationally Accredited Hospital in Sri Lanka, with the prestigious ACHSI accreditation, Hemas Hospitals has always prioritised their commitment and investment in the highest quality and standards of healthcare. The celebrated hospital chain is also the only healthcare provider in Sri Lankan to be certified by SLSI as a COVID-Safe hospital with the SLS1672:2020 COVID-19 Safety Management Systems Certification.
