ICCSL streamlines e-Certficate of Origin issuance for exporters

ICCSL, a pioneer in the issuance of a digital certificate of origin, has commenced a 24/7 service to support export industries. The digital certificate issuance of the Certificate of Origin (COO) was started by ICCSL during the lockdown in 2020. The ICCSL certificate of Origin is delivered online. This facility allows export companies to submit the application online without any manual intervention. 

ICCSL has been issuing COOs for the last 10 years. ICC Sri Lanka comprises competent staff able to provide expert support to Sri Lankan exporters as part of the ICC global business network. The eCOO system includes security features such as online verification of the authenticity of COOs issued electronically. In addition, it provides electronic applications as well as issuance, complete with a digital rubber stamp of ICC Sri Lanka with the signature of an authorised officer. 

The process of registration takes only a few steps with the new and improved eCOO website, thus leading to saving in time and money. Supporting documents can also be uploaded when making an application for a COO. Moreover, with eCOOs there are no delivery charges, no travel and no waiting in queues. Users can obtain COO documents through the website on their computer or mobile. This facility has paved the way for ICC Sri Lanka eCOO customers to have easy access to obtain the COO, in real-time. 

The Certificate of Origin (COO) issued by International Chamber of Commerce is an important international trade document attesting that goods in a particular shipment is produced, manufactured or processed in a particular country. The Certificate of Origin issued by ICCSL is recognised worldwide due to presence of the International Chamber of Commerce in 130+ countries.
