ICCSSL holds 35th Annual  General Meeting

The 35th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Institute of Chartered Corporate Secretaries of Sri Lanka (ICCSSL) was held as a hybrid meeting recently at 6 p.m. 

The Board of Management, presided by the Immediate Past President, gathered at the Secretariat No. 546/4, Galle Road, Colombo-3 and connected with the members via Zoom.

The following were elected as Office Bearers and Members of the Board of Management (BOM) for the ensuing year.

Hemali Ellawala (ACCS) was elected as President of the Council. At present, she functions as Company Secretary at Cargills (Ceylon) PLC. S. Sudarshan (ACG/ACCS) was elected as Deputy President, he is a senior member of the Council and currently serves as Group Company Secretary for Siyapatha Finance PLC.

Ishani Liyanage (ACG/ACCS) was elected as Vice President to the Council. She manages her own company secretarial practice G.R.T. Associates Ltd. Shanthi Perera (ACG/ACCS) was elected as Secretary to the Council, she is also a senior member of the Council and currently she serves as Director/Secretary at Assignments Ltd. Aroshasha Berugoda (ACCS) was elected as Assistant Secretary to the Council. Berugada functions in the capacity of Assistant to Company Secretary of Siyapatha Finance PLC.

Sumedha Indula (ACCS) was elected as Treasurer to the Council. He currently serves as Chief Financial Officer/Director of SES Financial Consultants Ltd., Director of SES Corporate Consultants Ltd. and SES Associates, and also Director of SUIG Distributors Ltd. He serves in a number of private sector Senior Executive Management positions and Project Accountant, Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) funded by Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Exim Bank of China.

Anuri Nandiweera (ACCS) was elected as Assistant Treasurer.  Nandiweera is an experienced Chartered Corporate / Management Secretary with a demonstrated history of working in the Aviation industry. Helen de Silva (ACG/ACCS) elected as a member of the council is the Immediate Past President of ICCSSL and Governing Director of Corporate Affairs Ltd.

Geredene Suares (ACG/ACCS) was elected as a member of the Board of Management. Suares functions as Assistant Company Secretary of Sri Lanka Telecom PLC. Priyadarshana Wetthasinghe (ACCS) was elected as a member of the Board of Management. At present she functions as Company Secretary to the subsidiaries of People’s Leasing & Finance PLC.

Dilrukshi Wiratunga (ACG/ACCS) was elected as a member to the Board of Management. At present she functions in the capacity of Director/CEO of Secretaries Ltd. Nisha Najumudeen (ACG/ACCS) was elected as a member to the Board of Management. Currently she serves as Company Secretary of Seylan Bank PLC. Najumudeen is also an associate member of the Chartered Governance Institute, UK.

Kishan Kuruppu (ACG/ACCS), who is a past President of ICCSSL, now serves in the capacity of an advisor to the Council. Currently he functions as the Managing Director of SSP Corporate Services Ltd., a leading Corporate Secretarial firm in Sri Lanka.
