The Institute of Chartered Corporate Secretaries Sri Lanka (ICCSSL) has strategically partnered with The Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Australia and New Zealand, recognised as CMA (ANZ), a global accounting body with increasing membership in Asia-Pacific countries such as Sri Lanka, India, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Hong Kong, the Middle East, and Africa.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by ICMA Australia Regional Director Kapila Dodamgoda, ICCSSL President Zafraz Lameer, and ICCSSL Chief Executive Officer Wasantha Karunayake on Thursday, 7 November 2024.
This collaboration aims to provide an opportunity for ICCSSL Members to become members of CMA (ANZ) after a critical evaluation, and CMA members together with passed finalists to become qualified Chartered Secretary and a member of the ICCSSL.
Having achieved this significant milestone, ICCSSL will continue its diversified professional educational programs in company secretarial and for high-ranking professionals dedicated to upholding the highest standards of corporate governance, effective operations, compliance, risk management and management for those serving in various capacities, such as chairpersons, executive directors, senior executives, managers, and primarily as company secretaries, contributing significantly to both private and public sector organisations, including the Board of Directors, customers, financial regulators, stockbrokers, shareholders, auditors, statutory bodies, and state officials.
