IMED signs MoU with NCCSL

Asia Pacific Institute of Money and Entrepreneurship Development (IMED) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL) on 5 October to share mutual business relations in the field of Entrepreneurship Development and Financial Literacy education to strengthen the Sri Lankan Entrepreneurs with a special focus on SMEs.

IMED is the only independent institution in Sri Lanka dedicated to entrepreneurship development and financial literacy education across all segments of society.

IMED Founder President Chaaminda Kumarasiri said: “Our aim is to collaborate with all the stakeholders connected to Entrepreneurship Development and build a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem to facilitate the birth and growth of entrepreneurs across the country. This MoU will strengthen our efforts and I must convey my sincere gratitude to the President and the Council of NCCSL for accepting our invitation for this collaboration.”

NCCSL, which was founded in 1948 soon after Sri Lanka gained independence, emerged as the leading trade and industrial promotion body on the island and the membership includes the most vibrant and progressive business houses in the country.

The Chamber has already identified the steps to develop entrepreneurs and SMEs in several key industries in Sri Lanka and this collaboration will be a catalyst for implementing the identified actions.
