Top professional Imran Furkan has been appointed to the Boards of Asiri Hospital Holdings PLC and Asiri Surgical Hospital PLC as a Non-Executive Independent Director.

Furkan FCPA (Aus), FCMA (U.K), CGMA (GLOBAL), MBA (AUS), BA (Hons) (U.K) advises Boards and CEOs on strategy and market expansion, as well as geopolitical, economic, climate, and technology risk management.

Currently serving as CEO of Tresync, Australia, Furkan has demonstrated a keen interest in medical tourism, focusing on its economic, strategic, and policy dimensions. His work includes analysing the economic impact of medical tourism on the healthcare sector and highlighting how revenues from medical tourism can stimulate growth in healthcare systems across both emerging and developed economies. Additionally, Furkan has contributed to discussions on the future of medical tourism, addressing paradigm shifts and challenges in the industry, connecting people and businesses together, fostering industry partnerships, and advising on macro socio-economic technological strategy.

Furkan’s career has seen senior management and Board directorship roles in industries such as finance, food, retail, regulatory and industry bodies, IT/GBS, education, commodities, media, and professional services in the Asia-Pacific region.

He is an Independent Non-Executive Director of Maharaja Foods PLC, Odel PLC, and The Interfaith Network (IFN), City of Greater Dandenong, Australia, and is Executive Director – Programs, Business Development, and Corporate Services of Wattleshire Ltd., Australia.

He has previously served as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Trade Finance and Investments PLC in Sri Lanka. He also served as the CEO of SLASSCOM and the Sri Lanka Press Institute. Furkan has also served on the Director Training Committee and Media and Public Relations Committees of the Sri Lanka Institute of Directors (SLID).

Furkan is a Fellow of CPA Australia, CIMA UK, has an MBA from Australia, and a BA (Hons) in Sustainable Performance Management from the UK.
