The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Chief Representative Yamada Tetsuya, along with a delegation of senior representatives, met with the Secretary to the President Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake yesterday.
The discussion focused on the second phase of theBandaranaike International Airport (BIA) Development Project, implemented by JICA, and the immediate launch of the Terrestrial Television Broadcast Digitisation Project. In a recent meeting with the Secretary to the President, the Japanese Ambassador emphasised the need for the swift completion of 11 ongoing projects supported by JICA. Today’s discussion centred on accelerating the progress of these initiatives.
Katsuhiro Suzuki, the Second Secretary of the Japanese Embassy in Sri Lanka, along with other officials, also attended the meeting.
