JKH looks externally to fill Keells Food CEO post

John Keells Holdings Plc has announced the appointment of Viranga Indunil Wickramaratne as the new

Viranga Indunil Wickramaratne

CEO of Keells Food Products PLC. 

Wickramaratne was previously the Chief Operating Officer, Retail, at Diesel and Motor 

Engineering PLC (DIMO), and prior to that the General Manager, Sales and Marketing, Brandix Lingerie Ltd. He holds an MSc. in Marketing from the University of Glamorgan, UK, and a Post Graduate Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK).

He replaces Sumudu Thanthirigoda who served as CEO at Keells Food Products since March 2018 and prior to that at ACL Cables PLC as General Manager - Sales and Marketing and at Unilever as Senior Brand Manager/Category Lead and as BAT as Strategic Planning and Insights Manager.

Keells Food Products is the leader in Processed Food products in the country with multiple brands “Elephant House” and “Keells/Krest.”
