The first ever Jaffna Housing & Construction Expo 2023 cum seminar was successfully concluded at Murthuwel Ground, Jaffna from 15 to 17 September.
It was organised by Iyngaran Media Solutions together with the Chamber of Construction Industry of Sri Lanka. (CCISL). The exhibition was inaugurated by Minister of Fisheries and Livestock Douglas Devananda together with Deputy High Commission of India Head of Chancery Ram Mahesh.
The visitors’ expectations were met and were very satisfactory. The number of products and services display stalls were around 100 leading brands owned companies participated in this Expo. The reason was to organise this kind of exhibition was to introduce new construction technologies and novel methods in construction and latest products and novel services to the Northern Peninsula.
Apart from the exhibition the CCI organised a seminar on ‘Investment Opportunities and Innovative Constructors technologies in Northern Sri Lanka’ especially to attract overseas Sri Lankan who were participating at the Nallur Kovil Festival.
The seminar was arranged on the following important topics: Investment opportunities in Northern Sri Lanka by the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka; Real estate investment opportunity of UDA with one stop clearance by UDA; Innovative construction technologies by University of Jaffna; and Novel technology affiliated in Sri Lanka construction industry.
It was a very important and valuable seminar to discuss these kinds of subjects in the Northern area to create awareness.
