The Transport Services, Electricity and Energy Ministry recently appointed Jagath Perera as the new Chairman of Lanka Transformers Ltd.
The appointment letter was handed over to Perera last week by Transport Services, Electricity and Energy Minister Mahinda Amaraweera at the Ministry premises.
Perera previously served as the chairman of several institutions, such as Commercial Fertiliser, Cey-nor Foundation, and Ceylon Fisheries Corporation.
He holds a management (special) degree from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
