KPMG appoints Raditha P. Alahakoon as Partner

KPMG in Sri Lanka, a member firm of the KPMG network of independent member firms, announced the appointment of Raditha P. Alahakoon as a partner of the firm.

Raditha joined the firm in 2006 and by 2017 had risen to the position of Director – Audit responsible for the audit assignments both in Sri Lanka and in the Maldives. 

He is currently leading more than 40 IFRS 9 Quantitative Impact Assessment (QIA) engagement across Sri Lanka and Maldives specifically focusing on impairment computation based on ‘expected credit loss’ for banks and NBFIs. 

Raditha has also provided foreign exchange and interest rate hedging advisory to some of the leading Sri Lankan corporates and serves as the engagement director for several commercial banks and registered finance and leasing companies in Sri Lanka.

Raditha, who counts over 13 years of professional work experience, is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ACA) and holds a BSc. Financial Management (Special), from University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
