The third session of the KPMG ‘Friday Mid-Afternoon Chat on Corporate restructuring and tax efficiency’ will unfold on 2 October from 3 p.m. onwards.

This session will focus on enlightening the decision makers on restructuring an entity. “Corporate mergers and amalgamations is a fascinating area and has been embraced by many locally and globally for maintaining lean operations during this pandemic. KPMG Director – Tax and Regulatory Rifka Ziyard added, “The subject of discussion is pertinent to all decision makers. Our aim is to enlighten the decision makers on key aspects on restructuring of the entity which would enable the decision makers to make a well thought out decision avoiding tax pit falls which is a crucial aspect of the success of any restructuring exercise.” The session focus would be merger and amalgamation explained in the Sri Lankan context, carving out business units, share acquisitions Vs. asset acquisitions, dissenting minority buyout, Liquidation/Winding up, etc.

The session will be conducted by Suresh Perera and Rifka Ziyard. For registrations please contact Seneli via [email protected] or 011 542 6426 Ext. 505.
