Kanchana tables long-term power generation plan 2023-42 in Parliament

Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera recently said that the long-term generation plan (LTGP) for 2023-2042 of the Ceylon Electricity Board was tabled in Parliament last week.

Taking to Twitter he noted that the fuel procurement details of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation from 1 January 2022 to 31 January 2023 were also submitted.

“The CEB LTGP is in line with Government policy to achieve 70% renewable Energy by 2030, Carbon Neutral by 2050 and no new Coal Policy,” Minister Wijesekera added.
