Kanchana unveils plans for automation and pricing system overhaul

Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera revealed that the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) is gearing up to implement a comprehensive automation system for all fuel dispensing and stock-taking facilities, including the adoption of a daily automated price revision mechanism set to be in effect from next year.

He made these remarks at a meeting with the CPC dealers association and officials from the corporation itself at the Power and Energy Ministry yesterday.

Taking to X, the Minister noted that during the meeting, various critical topics were addressed, ranging from dealer margins, fuel distribution to future developmental strategies and new fuel stations to be established.
