A top level delegation led by Korea’s Labour and Employment Minister, Lee Jung-Sik,
is in Sri Lanka to strengthen the longstanding bilateral relations between the two nations, particularly in labour and employment.
Accompanying the Minister are Ministry of Employment and Labour Director General, Kim Eunchul, Secretary to the Minister, Yoo Byunghyun, Deputy Directors, Choi Younguk and Myung Sungho and Assistant Director, Jo Hyungwon.
The delegation held official-level talks yesterday (14) chaired by Labour and Foreign Employment Minister Manusha Nanayakkara. State Minister Jagath Pushpakumara was also present.
"We are honoured to host Minister Lee Jung-Sik and his delegation. The visit is a significant milestone in deepening our bilateral ties and provides a fruitful platform for future collaborations in the labour and employment sectors,” said Nanayakkara. “We look forward to a successful visit to enhance cooperation between Sri Lanka and the Republic of South Korea,” he added.
