‘LANKAPAK 2020’ in Oct. to provide packaging, printing solutions for local industry

Sri Lanka’s only packaging and printing solutions exhibition ‘LANKAPAK 2020’ in October will provide solutions to local industrialists and manufacturers. 

The event will focus on providing Sri Lankan companies solutions to upgrade packaging of their products and brands to compete with local and international brands. 

‘LANKAPAK’ will be held for the 22nd successful time from 9-11 October at the BMICH from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The exhibition is being organised by the Sri Lanka Institute of Packaging together with CDC Events and Travels along with the support of the World Packaging Organization, The Asian Packaging Federation and Government and private sector organisations. 

‘LANKAPAK 2020’ prides itself on being the only event in Sri Lanka entirely dedicated to packaging, printing, plastic and paper and is unquestionably the leading event for primary and secondary packaging solutions. It is a hub for buyers and sellers across the supply chain to source for their next project or solution. The event will feature exhibitors from the entire spectrum of the industry, providing the platform to reach local and foreign customers from across the market. 

The awaited exhibition will be a platform for local printing and packaging enterprises to promote transactions between suppliers and buyers, as well as providing prime opportunities for its allied professionals to make international exchanges, and boost the exchange and dissemination of new technologies, hence serving as a window to new technological advances of the printing industry. 

‘LANKAPAK 2020’ is committed to providing new opportunities for innovation and momentum for sustained development of the printing and packaging industry. It shoulders the responsibility to lead development of Sri Lanka’s 5P industry and promote its technical upgrading, with the purpose of building an integrated platform for exchange and promotion of the new technology, products and materials in the printing and packaging industry. The exhibition will comprise over 150 stalls displaying thousands of brands to meet all kinds of packaging requirements under one roof. It is an ideal meeting point for people within the industry and those requiring to source materials for their businesses. Hence, it is a great opportunity for those representing the food and beverage industry, hotel managers, chemical, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, packaging and print-pack factories, trading companies, industry publications, corporate end users, educational institutions, bakery and patisseries and fast food outlets. 

The annual packaging congress will also take place on 9 and 10 October at the same premises. The congress will focus on Packaging and Food Processing with many renowned speakers.

The ‘Be Sri Lankan Buy Sri Lankan’ trade fair 2020 will also take place concurrently to ‘LANKAPAK 2020’.
