LAUGFS ups LPG prices

LAUGFS Gas PLC has announced an upward price revision of its domestic LPG products.

The Colombo retail price of the 12.5 kg cylinder has been increased by Rs. 200 to Rs. 5,280. The 5 kg cylinder has been increased by Rs. 80 to Rs. 2,112 and the 2 kg cylinder increased by Rs. 32 to Rs. 845.

LAUGFS said the global gas prices increased significantly in the month of February compared to the previous month. “However, LAUGFS Gas PLC will not increase the domestic cylinder price in proportion to the world market price increase taking into account the cost-of-living prevailing at macro level. The company has taken a decision to absorb the major portion of the cost and give a marginal increase to the consumer,” LAUGFS added.
