DFCC Group subsidiary, Lanka Industrial Estates Ltd. (LINDEL), was recently awarded the ‘Bronze award’ for their Annual Report for financial year 2020/21 themed ‘From Resilience to Progress,’ in the ‘Land and Property’ sector at 56th Annual Report Awards organised by CA Sri Lanka. LINDEL was the only non-quoted company competed in the category which included several other quoted companies and took home the award in its first year in the competition, marking a significant achievement for the Company and the DFCC Group as a whole.
The prestigious Annual Report Awards organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) was held on 9 December 2021 at the BMICH. The competition, with an illustrious history spanning over 55 years, revolves around a stringent three-tier evaluation process where the Annual Reports are evaluated over three phases – first by a technical panel, then by a panel of industry experts, and subsequently, by the panel of judges comprising of an eminent accountant, as well as regulatory authorities and members of academia.
Commenting on the achievement, LINDEL CEO Rasika Cooray stated: “I am delighted with the achievement of winning the Bronze award in our very first year in the competition, which reflects on our strong performance and compliance to the Annual Reporting frameworks.
