ECO33 Chairman Dammica Wickramaratne was the guest speaker at this session. ECO33 is also a certified Schneider Ecoxpert. Schnedier Electric Hotel Segment Global VP Shovan Sengupta and Global Strategic Accounts Manager Neha Jaitpal were the distinguished panellists.

They both shared their experiences and advice on how to optimise existing technologies already installed within hotels, and how businesses could incorporate new technology to ease post-COVID challenges faced on a day-to-day basis. They both noted that hotels which were operating in an energy efficient manner had a cutting-edge advantage in overcoming COVID-19 related challenges cost effectively and with the ability to budget for new technologies. Dammica explained how customers using the ECO33 solution powered by Schneider Electric were managing the health and comfort of guest and staff with a real-time integrated building management system covering energy efficiency, energy-optimisation, maintaining comfortable conditions including operating air conditioning (HVAC) system real time, to improve indoor air quality.

Hotels can optimise existing technologies to avoid rushing into new technologies, as revenue is increasingly hard to come by, given the downturn of business. ECO33 also offers cost-effective and financially-guaranteed solutions to overcome “bad decisions on technology purchases that need to last over 15 years”.
