Litro Gas Lanka assures public that there is no LPG shortage

Litro Gas Lanka in a statement yesterday assured there was no shortage of LPG in the country.

It issued the statement in response to rumours of a gas shortage.

The full statement is as follows.

We regret to note that those with vested interests are spreading false information that there is a shortage of gas in the country.

As the national LPG provider, we categorically affirm that there is absolutely no shortage of gas in the country, with LPG made available to customers via over 14,000 sales channels throughout the island.

Litro Gas Lanka possesses a proud heritage of over 150 years in the energy industry as the LPG pioneer in Sri Lanka; we constantly seek to add value to our customers with new and innovative products that meet their expectations.

Accordingly, the Litro Gas Premium Hybrid 18 litre cylinder was introduced to the market as a product that meets international standards. The new product delivers a higher level of efficiency and delivers better energy utilisation, assuring easier handling and storage.

This product contains 18 litres of LPG, sufficient for a family of four for a month and is priced at Rs. 1,395.

Our standard regular cylinders are also available without a shortage in the market.
