Luminex PLC gets contract to increase capacity of public water treatment plant in Horana EPZ

Luminex PLC has been awarded the contract to increase the capacity of the public water treatment plant in the Horana Export Processing Zone.

Cabinet of Ministers on Monday approved the proposal by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake to award the contract after bids were called following the National Competitive Procurement Procedure. Of the 11 bids submitted, Luminex selected following recommendations of the Procurement Committee appointed by the Cabinet of Ministers. On 5 June 2023, under the previous regime the Cabinet approved to increase the capacity of the Public Water Treatment Plant in the Horana Export Processing Zone through utilisation of funds of the Sri Lanka Board of Investment (BOI).
