MTI completes strategic planning for Bhutan’s Tarayana Foundation

  •  Her Majesty the Queen Mother appreciates MTI’s contribution to Bhutan

MTI developed five Strategic Initiatives for Tarayana foundation which will assist them to continue building a happy and a prosperous Bhutan. After conducting the first three stages of MTI’s 8S Model, Scope, Scan and Sights, MTI recommended going ahead with five Strategic Initiatives that were identified as the key aspects that Tarayana can focus on. Under each initiative, MTI provided solutions to Tarayana which can be applied into their current systems, increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of Tarayana’s contribution to Bhutan.

“It is very important that MTI has given the skills, experience and advice to us. The pro-bono work, that MTI has done for Tarayana is deeply appreciated by the board, by me personally, and by all of us who serve at Tarayana. I know that MTI is a very prominent consulting firm and has done a lot of good work for Bhutan and for the world. I would like to express gratitude and deep appreciation for the work that MTI does”, said Her Majesty the Queen Mother Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck, at one of the initial meetings held with MTI.

The people of Bhutan are blessed to have Tarayana in their midst. MTI is deeply happy to have helped Tarayana in a small way. Blessings to all your future endeavors. Long live Tarayana and your mission to help the most vulnerable people of Bhutan”, said MIT consulting CEO Hilmy Cader.

In the process of developing five strategic initiatives, Chrishantha Jayasinghe and the team from Sarva Colombo, Dr. Himendra Balalle and Kavindrie Ranasinghe from NIBM, Deepal Sooriyaarachchi, Mahesh Amarasiri, Zahara Ansary and Kishnika Weeresinghe from CIMA Sri Lanka and Ravini Karunarathne from Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority supported MTI in the Technology and Training initiatives on pro bono basis.

Tarayana Foundation is a Public Benefit Organisation founded by Her Majesty the Queen Mother Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck and registered with the Civil Society Organisation Authority of Bhutan. The foundation was formally launched in 2003 and has since worked towards bridging the gaps between larger national initiatives and local grassroots requirements. The Foundation works in remote, rural villages to bring about holistic community growth and development serving the needy communities.
