MV. Navios Unite marks maiden call at JCT SLPA

MV. Navios Unite being operated at the Jaya Container Terminal of Sri Lanka Ports Authority 

Unifeeder’s MV. Navios Unite operating the Asia Gulf India (AGI) service recently made her maiden call at the Port of Colombo.  

To mark its arrival at the Jaya Container Terminal (JCT) of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA), a plaque exchange was held on-board the vessel between SLPA Vice Chairman Eng. Herath M.P. Jayawardhana, and the ship’s Master Capt. L. Bautista.

The brand-new vessel was built in Zhoushan Changhong International Shipyard Co. Ltd., China with a capacity of 5315 TEUs and sails under the Liberian flag. She joined the Unifeeder fleet in October 2024 as part of a fleet renewal plan to deploy more efficient vessels as the company continues to test alternative fuels and monitor the availability of fuel supplies.

The Port rotation under current service is: Laem Chabang Port in Thailand – Singapore – Port Klang in Malaysia – Colombo – Jebel Ali in United Arab Emirates – Port of Karachi in Pakistan – Mundra Port in India – Colombo – Port Klang – Singapore and Laem Chabang.
