Maliban achieves GLOBAL G.A.P certification for excellence in agricultural practices

Maliban Dairy and Agri Products Ltd. which is the agriculture arm of Maliban Group, the pioneer biscuit manufacturer in Sri Lanka with over 60 years of heritage, has achieved the prestigious GLOBAL G.A.P (Good Agricultural Practices) certification for their mango plantation at Ethimale Kotiyagala Monaragala which produces the Tom EJC premium mangoes under the Maliban pure harvest brand. This significant milestone underscores Maliban’s commitment to adhering to the highest standards of quality and sustainability in its operations. The certification process was facilitated by Control Union Inspections Ltd., a globally recognised and accredited body operating in over 50 countries. The certification was officially handed over to Maliban Chairperson A.G. Kumudika Fernando by Control Union Inspections Managing Director Roshan Ranawaka during a ceremony held recently.

GLOBAL G.A.P certification is highly sought after by leading global retailers as a benchmark for quality and safety for agriculture based products. This achievement positions Maliban as a leader in adopting sustainable and efficient production systems, further enhancing market accessibility for its products while ensuring cost-effective operations.
