Mattakelle Estate sets all-time record price

Mattakelle Estate located in Talawakelle, renowned for producing quality teas, established an all-time record price at the tea auction held on 29 August, by securing an attractive price of Rs. 2,850 per kg for a Dust1 grade. This line of tea was purchased by Euro-Scan Exports Ltd.  Mattakelle Estate is managed by Talawakelle Tea Estates PLC and this line of tea was marketed and sold by Tea Broker John Keells PLC.
