Menzies Aviation gets UL’s 3-year Sydney ground handling deal

Australia-based Menzies Aviation Ltd., has won the contract to provide ground handling services to the national carrier – SriLankan Airlines in Sydney International Airport, Australia for three years.

Cabinet approved the proposal by Ports, Shipping and Aviation Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva to award the contract after bids were called from registered suppliers to award the long-term contract of ground handling for three years.

The special procurement standing committee appointed by the Cabinet of Ministers had recommended awarding the relevant procurement to Menzies Aviation.

However, the value of the contract for Sydney Airport ground handling services and when it will come into effect was not disclosed.
