Several more companies controlled by business leader Dhammika Perera announced share sub divisions yesterday.
Lanka Tiles PLC announced a share split of 1 into 5, which will boost the number of shares in issue to 265.25 million from 53 million at present.
Separately LTL also announced a second interim dividend of Rs. 12.30 per share.
The share price closed up Rs. 9.75 or 4% to Rs. 245.50 with 0.9 million shares changing hands via 1,190 trades for Rs. 230.2 million.
Lanka Walltiles PLC also announced a 1 into 5 share sub division enhancing the number of shares in issue to 273 million from 54.6 million at present.
Lanka Walltiles also announced a second interim dividend of Rs. 10 per share.
LWL's share price gained by Rs. 5 or 2% to Rs. 261.50 with 0.6 million shares changing hands via 1,245 trades for Rs. 181.5 million.
Swisstek (Ceylon) PLC's share sub division will be 1 into 5, increasing the number of shares in issue to 136.8 million from 27.3 million at present. It also announced a second interim dividend of Rs. 4.10 per share. Swisstek’s share priced moved up by 75 cents or 0.5% to Rs. 133 with 0.2 million shares changing hands via 344 trades for Rs. 33.6 million.
Last week Royal Ceramics announced a 1 into 10 share sub division along with a Rs. 11 per share second interim dividend. RCL’s share price gained by Rs. 19.50 or 6% with 2.8 million shares changing hands via 3,719 trades for Rs. 1 billion.
Last month Hayleys and 14 other subsidiaries announced share splits along with LB Finance PLC.
