NSRT is the latest technology introduced to the Sri Lankan market, which was launched on 28 November at Hotel Cinnamon Lakeside. It uses nano-technology to save energy, especially benefitting factories, commercial establishments and hotels. It has shown tremendous potential for the OPEX business model (zero investment).

Implementation of this technology does not require any alteration or modification to existing infrastructure, being simply a nano coating on electricity panel boards. However, it reduces electricity leakages and heat generation and regulates the flow of electricity. NSRT will also help corporates achieve their green technology goals.

Addressing the gathering, Universal Energy Savings Ltd. Managing Director Afthab Selabdeen said, “This will be a national cause where we can reduce the burden on the main grid and support many industries, including tourism, manufacturing and infrastructure services in reducing their monthly utility cost. Top corporates including Tasek Cements, Changi Airport Sheraton, Shangri-La Malaysia and Singapore, are using our technology to save millions of dollars.”

Nano technology is widely used in leading manufacturing, hospitality and service establishments in Malaysia and Singapore, and Universal Energy Group Group CEO Ian Chew flew in from Singapore to present the highlights of the technology, which was followed by a Q&A session. Initial inspection of sites have already begun, with customers who registered on the day of the launch having signed agreements to implement NSRT.
