New Chairman at Industrial Development Board assumes duties

Upasena Disanayake assumed duties as the Chairman of the Industrial Development Board of Ceylon (IDB), falling under the purview of the Ministry of Industries and Supply Chain Management, on 1 January at the Head Office of IDB, 615, Katubedda, Moratuwa.

Director General P.L.U. Rathnamalala and respective heads of divisions were present on this occasion. IDB Chairman Upasena Disanayake is the founder Chairman of Aqua Masters Ltd. which is in the field of water purification using the reverse osmosis processes with wide range products of the industrial sector to households in the market. Having held key managerial positions for a number of years, he got equipped to be a trendsetter in the field of water purification in the country.

He has over 15 years of experience in the retail sector at John Keells Holdings and has managed both retail and supply chain management in Sunshine Holdings for 10 years being a member of its top management. 

Upasena holds a BSc in science from University of Kelaniya and MBA from Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM), University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
