New Commissioner General appointed to Excise Dept.

A. Bodaragama, who served as an Advisor to the Ministry of Finance, Economic and Policy Development, has been appointed as the Commissioner General of Excise. He joined the Department in 1985 as an excise inspector and has held various posts in the Excise Department for over 30 years. He has also served as the Acting Commissioner General.

Bodaragama holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management from the University of Colombo and has studied in various countries including Germany, Korea, China and Singapore.
