Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) has introduced a new procedure for MCC (Multi Country Consolidation) and LCL (Less than Container Load) delivery of cargo yesterday to curb any delays that may occur in their operations due to the COVID-19 pandemic precautions.

The new arrangements were enacted with effect from yesterday through the Logistics Division of SLPA. All MCC and LCL requests should now be sent in accordance with the new formats of procedure to the Duty Officer of SLPA, who could be contacted via 0718-688361 - minimum of one day prior to the expected date of delivery or loading operations. Through the new process, SLPA insists to guarantee the delivery of cargo on the date of request without any delay and urges all relevant parties to comply with the new procedure. New formats of procedure for the delivery of MCC and LCL cargo can be downloaded via SLPA website at www.slpa.lk .

Any complains in this regard can be communicated through Chief Manager (Logistics) via 0715-362339 or Senior Manager (Logistics) via 0770-625835.
