Newly appointed WB Country Director for Sri Lanka calls on President

The newly appointed World Bank Country Director for Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Maldives David Sislen, 

Called on President Ranil Wickremesinghe yesterday. The meeting served as an introduction for the new World Bank Country Director. The President had a cordial discussion with the World Bank team. Sislen succeeded Faris Hadad-Zervos, who is moving to a new assignment within the World Bank. Vice President for the South Asia Region Martin Raiser; out-going Country Manager for Maldives and Sri Lanka, South Asia, Chiyo Kanda; and Senior Advisor to the President on Economic Affairs, Dr. R.H. S. Samaratunga, also attended the meeting.
