Attorney-at-Law Panduka Keerthinanda has been appointed as the Land Reforms Commission Chairman with effect from 9 October.
Keerthinanda, a seasoned legal practitioner, brings a wealth of experience in both Criminal and Civil Law practice in Sri Lanka. With a distinguished career, he currently serves as the legal advisor to Minister Harin Fernando.
His contributions extend to various high-ranking Government roles, including Sugathadasa National Sports Complex Authority Chairman, National Sports Council membership, and legal consultancy positions in the Sports Ministry from 2010 to 2015.
He has also provided legal counsel to the Ministries of Telecommunication, Foreign Employment, and Sports.
Keerthinanda has played a pivotal role in the implementation of crucial Sports Laws, notably the Convention against Doping in Sports Act 33 of 2013 and the Prevention of Offences Relating to Sports Act 25 of 2019.
Educated at the University of Colombo, Keerthinanda holds a Bachelor’s Degree.
