Pathfinder Foundation appoints Rajendra Theagarajah as Senior Visiting Fellow

The Pathfinder Foundation has appointed Rajendra Theagarajah as Senior Visiting Fellow, effective 1 March.

Theagarajah is a well-known banker with considerable experience in the banking and financial service sector and counts 36 years in banking, both locally and internationally. In his long career Theagarajah has served with distinction leading banks such as the Hatton National Bank as MD/CEO; headed the National Development Bank; and Cargills Bank as Deputy Chairman and MD/CEO. He ended his full-time active banking career in September 2020.

Theagarajah has served his profession and industry with distinction by holding positions of Chairman, Sri Lanka Bankers’ Association and Chairman, Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, Sri Lanka Board. In 2017 he was appointed as Chairman of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, which position he held until 2019. He continues to engage with the CCC as Chairman of the National Agenda Committee on Entrepreneurship. He also served as a member of the Board of the Colombo Stock Exchange.
