The Pathfinder Foundation together with one of its Chinese counterparts, China Reform (CRF) Forum, brought together a group of professionals, experts and entrepreneurs from various fields, to identify key success factors and risks/challenges contributing to the growing and diversifying relations between China and Sri Lanka.

Based on the discussion, a concise report was produced to be shared among senior policy/decision makers in both countries and on the feedback received, PF and CRF plan to identify and take forward key factors that can be practically addressed. The Sri Lankan team comprised of experts in the field of economics, apparel, tourism, and real estate development.

The Sri Lankan delegation contributed with their perspectives on cross-cutting issues concerning the China-Sri Lanka relationship, economy and trade, investment policy, tourism, apparel, and real estate sectors. The discussion was enlightening and brought forth important areas for both countries to focus on in minimising impediments and moving forward towards a more productive relationship.

Pathfinder Foundation Executive Director Ameera Arooz and Research Associate Gayathri de Zoysa presented the report of the recently concluded webinar between the Foundation and China Reform Forum, to State Minister for Regional Cooperation Tharaka Balasuriya and Foreign Secretary Admiral (Prof.) Jayanath Colombage, at the Foreign Ministry recently.
