Pedro Estate ‘Mahagastotte’ achieves all-time record price

Pedro Estate under the selling mark of ‘Mahagastotte’ achieved an all-time record price of Rs. 1,750 for an OP grade in the Nuwara Eliya region at the weekly tea auctions held on 14/15 February.  

The estate is situated in the Nuwara Eliya planting district at an elevation of 1,750 metres above sea level and is renowned for producing teas with delicate liquoring characteristics. Pedro Estate is Rainforest Alliance, HACCP, and ISO 22000:2005 certified. 

Pedro Estate is managed by Kelani Valley Plantations PLC, a subsidiary of Hayleys PLC, under the stewardship of Regional General Manager Dilum Pathirana.
