President Maithripala Sirisena visits Kandurata stall at Shilpa Abhimani 2017

President Sirisena was presented a custom made Kandurata umbrella with the ‘Shilpa Abhimani’ and ‘Kandurata’ logos printed on it during the occasion

‘Shilpa Abhimani – 2017’, International Crafts Festival was held under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) in Colombo recently. 

Sri Lanka’s foremost umbrella manufacturer Kandurata Umbrella Industries Ltd. was the official umbrella partner of the exhibition which was organised by the National Crafts Council of Ministry of Industry and Commerce with the aim of nurturing and preserving heritage for the sustainable existence. 

President Sirisena also visited the Kandurata Umbrellas exhibition and sales stall where he was presented a custom made umbrella with the ‘Shilpa Abhimani’ and ‘Kandurata’ logos printed on it, by Kandurata Umbrella Industries Ltd. Chairman M.T.M. Nawushad. 

Also present at the occasion were Minister of Industry and Commerce Rishad Bathiudeen, Kandurata Umbrella Industries Ltd. Managing Director M.T.M. Naufal and Deputy General Manager Riza Thahir.
