Ranil Pathirana appointed Deputy Chairman at Dankotuwa Porcelain

Ranil Pathirana

Ranil Pathirana has been appointed as Deputy Chairman and Non-Executive Director at Dankotuwa Porcelain with effect from 1 July. 

The Deputy Chairman post at DPL has been vacant since 22 October following the resignation of Ajith Devasurendra. 

Pathirana has extensive experience in finance and management in financial, apparel and energy sectors and presently serves as a Director of Hirdaramani Apparel Holdings Ltd., Hirdaramani Leisure Holdings Ltd., and Hirdaramani Investment Holdings Ltd., which are the holding companies of the Hirdaramani Group. He is also the Managing Director for Hirdaramani International Exports Ltd. 

Pathirana is the Chairman of Windforce and a Non-Executive Director of Ambeon Capital, as well as several other listed companies. He is a Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK and holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.

Ambeon Holdings owns 77.5% stake in Dankotuwa Porcelain.

With the latest appointment, the Board of Directors of Dankotuwa Porcelain comprises Chairman Y. Kanagasabai, Deputy Chairman R.P. Pathirana, R.T. Devasurendra, R.P. Peris, N.S. Wijesekara, C.S. Karunasena and Dr. K.S. Narangoda.
